Mumps is an infectious viral disease which is spread by droplets which are released into the air during coughing or sneezing. It occurs in epidemics, mainly affecting children over two years old, but can infect people of any age. After a two to three week incubation period visible symptoms appear, the most obvious being the swelling of the saliva-producing parotid glands on one or both sides of the face. This is accompanied by fever, swelling in the sub-maxillary salivary glands, swollen glands in other parts of the body and muscular pain in the jaw, ear and abdomen. The pancreas may be inflamed, causing vomiting. In some adult men mumps can cause swelling and inflammation of the testicles, sometimes leading to sterility. There are some rare but serious complications which can result, including encephalitis and meningitis in which the brain or its surrounding membranes become inflamed.

Vaccines against mumps are available and many doctors recommend immunisation for all babies aged between 12 and 15 months. The vaccine has a life of five years, following which boosters are required. Pregnant women should not receive these vaccines since they contain live viruses which can affect the foetus. Normally, once a person has had mumps, they develop an immunity to the disease. However, there are some cases where people have been re-infected.

Treatment of mumps includes isolation to prevent the spread of infection. Rest is recommended until the swollen glands subside, and mild painkillers may be used. Medical treatment may be required if there are complications such as painful or swollen testicles, severe earaches or headaches or a stiff neck. Natural practitioners prescribe a range of treatments. These include herbal medicines such as infusions of yarrow, elderflower and marigold, supplements to boost the immune system, homeopathic medicines or tissue salts and cold compresses to reduce swelling.

This was conveyed by medical experts in an article in a medical magazine.

Danger to the fetus would be greater if the mother is suffering from infection and refused or did not want to take these antibiotics, so health experts say in a medical journal published in Stuttgart.

It is said by experts that about half of babies born prematurely in the state is caused by infection.

When a pregnant mother who was suffering from a bacterial infection, often causing urinary tract infections. If the number of bacteria in the body increases it causes the mother’s waters broke prematurely.

Chlamydia infections should be treated with bacteria as well as the infection can damage or affect fetal development.

However, not all antibiotic medicines are not dangerous for babies candidates undergo a process of growth in the womb until ready to be born.

This applies to the antibiotic medicines that enter the Chinolone group. In addition, tetracycline is also forbidden for pregnant women, but when they have been consulting with a doctor, other types of antibiotics may be found appropriate and not harmful to mother and fetus.

Are Children can get cancer?

Children can get cancer, but cancer in children is not common. In developed countries with data that more complete statistics, cancer each year occur at 120-160 per 1,000,000 children under the age of 15 years. Approximately, one in every 300-500 people will get cancer before the age of 20 years.

Why Kids Hit by Cancer?

For most cancers, the answer to this question is uncertain. From every child who has cancer, is almost impossible, we know why he had cancer.

From the statistical point of view, we found that cancer in children can be associated with genetic defects, chromosomal aberration, immune deficiency, infections such as Epstein-Barr virus, hepatitis B virus and HIV infection (human immunodeficiency virus), exposed to light radiation, treatment of immune suppressive, or even due to anti-cancer treatment.

In contrast, NO evidence or lack of evidence that the following things are associated with cancer in children: maternal diet during pregnancy, vitamin K injections are given to newborns, vaccinations, electromagnetic fields, or electrical wires near the stay.

Is Cancer in Children Cancer Similar to the Mature?

No, cancer in children is unique (see below). Even for the same type of cancer, biological characteristics and response to treatment is very different between children and adults. In general, the results of cancer treatment in children are better than in adults. Therefore, it is not appropriate to apply what is known about cancer in adults to children.

The investigation of what is required?

Investigation is needed to (a) ensure the diagnosis and classify the types of cancer, and (b) determine the disease stage. The result is important to determine the most appropriate treatment for the child. In addition to physical evaluation, the child will undergo blood and urine tests, the study by scanning and image capture (imaging), and some tumor tissue will be taken for microscopic examination (pathology diagnosis). Some children may also need a bone marrow biopsy.

How to Treat Cancer in Kids?

Once the diagnosis is confirmed and cancer groups and stage known, the doctor will determine the treatment or combination treatment is best for the child. Treatment options include surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and biological elements of the other.

Are Kids Can Hold with treatment?

The answer is “yes”, but they need a good supporting treatment. Treatments of cancer in children involve complications, either sudden or delayed. Some of these complications, such as bleeding and infection, can be dangerous. Children with cancer should be treated in specialized medical centers, with an experienced medical team and complete facilities.

What results are it treated?

The results of anti-cancer treatment in children depending on the primary disease and severity (see below) Overall, 70-75% of children diagnosed with cancer today can expect to live longer (and healed), if they treated with contemporary protocol by an experienced medical team with good supporting facilities.
