It increases cholesterol = cholesterol! A simple deduction.

Nope. Their intake is not a significant factor in this increase. This recent article in Consumer has reminded me that although in recent years knows all this, people continued to believe that eggs and cholesterol are linked, when the greatest influence is genetic predisposition, sedentary lifestyle, smoking and some types of diet. And what is worse, many doctors still recommend that if your “bad” cholesterol is high, it is best not to eat them or limit them a lot.

Last week the government announced that Massachusetts received more than half a million dollars – $ 633,000 – for the fight against obesity. Given the size of the problem, this amount may seem minuscule. Is not it ironic that we need money for people to eat less? Anywhere else people need money for food, whereas here we need money to teach people to eat better.

Here’s the problem: we do not eat properly. We know it’s easier and cheaper to buy junk food than to buy fresh ingredients and prepare a healthy meal. But it need not be so.

The amount that the state received will be used mostly to inform people about how to eat more healthily. For example, did you know that from November the networks of restaurants with branches in Massachusetts would show the customer the calorie content of meals they sell? The main objective of this requirement is to facilitate the customer to choose foods with fewer calories. Similar measures were implemented in New York City and other parts the country. This site has been shown that when the client knows the calorie content of dishes, it tends to choose foods with fewer calories. That is, people who know how many calories are in their meals tend to eat more healthily. While the restaurants are changing their recipes to prepare the same dishes, but with fewer calories.

What else can the government do to reduce what experts call the “epidemic” of obesity in this country? The government can do much. The above example is just one of many examples that could be cited here.

However, personal responsibility is crucial in the fight against obesity. So I ask: what do you think people can do at home, at work, in schools and communities to end this epidemic?

Far beyond the budgets of government or the view of public health professionals, we all can and must do something to solve the problem of obesity.

If you like the news so much like me, you must have been hard not to hear the reports on breast last week. This latest wave of news about natural breastfeeding is due to a new study published in The Journal of Pediatrics. This study confirms what we always knew: that breastfeeding is not only healthier, but also saves money on health cost. In fact, the study says that if 90% of mothers who give birth just to give them breast-feed their babies during the first six months of life could be saved 900 lives, would prevent many diseases whose treatment is expensive and therefore would avoid costs of 13.1 billion dollars in medical care.

With all the benefits of breast milk, the benefits to health and the pocket-it’s impossible not to ask why are not more mothers breastfeed their babies. It occurs to me that are not moms who do not want to breast-feed their babies. We know most of the mothers about breastfeeding their babies naturally, according to the study in question, 74% of mothers start breast-feeding or at least try to breastfeed her baby. But the ongoing number of mothers giving their babies breast milk decreases dramatically in a short time. At 3 months of age, only 33% infants are exclusively breast fed (or not take ‘formula’). At 6 months of age, only 14% of infants fed breast milk exclusively.

I think the drastic contrast between the newborns and infants at 6 months of age has to do with the lack of support for mothers who are breastfeeding their babies and the fact that society today does not see breastfeeding as a method ‘normal’ to feed our babies. If moms are trying to breast-feed their babies at birth, then it is obvious that there is a lack of knowledge on your part. Wonder what is happening to these mothers to feel the need to supplement feed their babies formula? What changes are necessary for mothers to continue giving their babies breast milk?

A lot of people think that mental decline is simply something that we must come to accept as we age. Fortunately, that is not exactly true. Through the benefits of technology and modern medicine, people are starting to live longer and longer. More people are finding an interest in making sure that their brains will be able to keep up with their bodies, as they get older and older.

Keeping your brain in shape is just as important as keeping your body in shape, and there are several foods that you can eat that will help to keep your mind fit, no matter your age. The best way to keep your brain healthy is by exercising regularly and eating a healthy diet.

In order to maintain healthy brain function, you need a diet that is well-balanced and consists of a good combination of carbohydrates, fat and protein. To get the most out of your diet, you should eat primarily whole, unprocessed foods such as healthy fats, fruits, lean protein and vegetables. Oily fish, such as salmon, is a great addition to a healthy diet because of the valuable omega-3 fatty acids that it provides.

Here is a list of the top ten foods that can help you keep your brain sharp and healthy you whole life through:

Almonds

Almonds are relatively high in fat; however, the type of fat that you find in almonds is in fact good for you.

Beef

Lean beef contains a lot of iron that is critical for brain health, especially in children.

Blueberries

Blueberries are perhaps one of the most important foods for keeping your brain sharp and healthy. They are a great source of antioxidants as well as several other minerals and vitamins vital to proper brain function.

Eggs

Eggs are a good source of choline, which works effectively to improve memory function.

Grape Juice

Grape juice contains a substantial amount of antioxidants to improve and maintain proper brain function. It works to effectively improve hand-eye coordination as well as short-term memory.

Hot Cocoa

Hot cocoa is the perfect dessert. It is full of antioxidants that are proven to slow down the process of aging.

Milk

Milk contains an abundance of vitamins that your brain needs to stay healthy, such as vitamin D and phosphorus. In addition, milk is also a great source of protein.

Olive Oil

Extra virgin olive oil is ideal for proper brain health. It includes polyphenols that work to keep your blood pressure regulated.

Spinach

Believe it or not, Popeye knew what he was talking about when he said, “I’m tough to the finish ’cause I eats me spinach”. Spinach is almost four times better for your health that lettuce, so make the
switch with your next salad.

Water

Although not technically a food, water is the ultimate brain food. Even though water does not contain an abundance of vitamins, or any at all for that matter, it is still essential for keeping your brain sharp and healthy.

Disease that is felt by someone is usually strongly influenced by lifestyle, status, nutrition, the influence of poison (toxin) environment, and damage or vulnerability as pre-existing genetic abnormalities. For example, at the beginning of the rainy season many people have flu. Conversely, why some people do not get? One of the most common reasons given was the difference in the immune system. Someone with a strong immune function can be protected from infection.

But a more precise answer is that the interference caused a balance of overlapping symptoms. Many of the causes behind a person have infection, among others, due to fatigue, bad nutrition, stress and other factors that led to the decline in immune function. By knowing the benefits of food supplements to help achieve back that balance, will help to answer questions at the beginning of this section.

Joseph Pizzorno, ND explained that the relatively easy to remove symptomatic disease, but for basic imbalance or disruption is still there, it would appear syndrome, another syndrome which then must be removed also. Many diseases have multiple causes, for example, are easily recognizable infection symptoms and triggers (bacteria or viruses). Although the trigger was gone, for example with antibiotics is the basis of the therapy system infections in general, as long as the body’s immune system has not improved, other infections are likely to happen. In addition, side effects of antibiotic use can destroy intestinal flora balance.

New approach based on holistic treatment efforts to improve the basic system of health supporting the body to function effectively, in order to ensure good health. In this way we prevent the disease before it
